Open Letter to the President of Somali Regional State

Dear Mr. President
It’s completely beyond the shadow of no doubt that your government is creating mess and assaulting Degodia clan in Liban zone, as you may aware that you attempted to give anew woreda to Marehan (Dekasuftu) because you believe Marehan are relatively closure to you or perhaps you have other hiden agendas that is well known to you. Just to give you a small background, Marahen are well known in Somali regional state of Ethiopia and they reside in Southern part of Warder such as Ilanle, Eldibir, Elbahay and Nefkuiliye kebeles of Warder Woreda and also whole southern Geladi kebeles like Yamarugley, Urmadag, Ramale, Qorofweyn, Qorof yare and Duban kebeles of Geladi woreda. In Shilabo district they reside in Lasoano and Fadigradle kebeles so many questions what was the motive behind when you decided to give Marehan a new Woreda in Filtu district?
Recently you met with the Degodia elders where you promised a lot of things, however, all in vain. To date nothing has materialized from your promise and the tension you created is rebuilding up. To make the situation worse, you give command to arrest key Dagodia customary leaders, including the Wabar (The Dagodia King) and members of his Filtu and Dollo Ado but your actions to marginalize Degodia tribe will only fuel the fire and increase the insecurity in the triangle border of Ethiopia.
The Parliament Speaker, who is from the Garre clan and who is the master mind of the existing land dispute is abusing his powers by providing advantage to his own clan.
Therefore, Mr. President, you are the president of Somali regional state and the solutions to these matters are in your hand. We request you to take an urgent action and resume the known peaceful Liban zone that you have destroyed since you come to the power.

dagodia is well organised tribe,and whoever interfier wth there border wll suffer,
it is very unfortunate to wait some known ignorant to make the decisions of leading to…. that surely course all the worst known, Dagodiya is not a clan really but it is more of Tribe and the fact on the ground is that well known in all world countries ,,so let the ignorant make the worst decisions they wish the best BUT Dagodia is always Dagodiya ,,,,,,,,,,
Thanks Ado for enlightening the evil intention of the current regime that deliberately unsettled the peaceful coexistence among tribes/clan in some targeted zones. The vision of current regional administration is to build X dynasty in Somali region and the efforts to give new woreda to Marehan in Filtu district is part and parcel of the undisputable ambitions of Abdi Ile. Nevertheless, believe me dictators are never as strong as they think they are, and people are never as weak as they think they are.
My friend the president is trying his best by creating new 16 woredas and giving one of them to Marehan of Liban as he did to Garre and other obressed people like Ajuran and Dagodia of Qarsa Dulla. So, Is it so that Mr president is write when he gave Dagodia a woreda in Afder and wrong when he gave Marehan.
@Nin islaameed I think you are missing the point. No woreda has been given to the Dogodiya tribe in Afder. However, I salute the president for creating 16 new woreda if the aim of doing so is enabling the region’s rural population to access social service. But i fear the aim is far from that and it is more of political appeasement of different clans. If the former was the real aim then a need assessment study to understand where is appropriate could be carried out which could lead to a well informed decision and bloodshed going on could be averted.
The consequence of the pre-emptive decision by the President is currently apparent in Liban zone where hundreds of innocent rural people have lost their precious lives just because of this misguided decision by the president. Brotherly, somali clans who co-existed for centuries are now fierce enemies. The president and his cabinets have to answer for this in face of the almighty Allah as i do not see a forth coming justice within the current existing government.
Having said that, I would like also to say something about the role of ============== the so call Regional Council speaker. Mr ========= is the key person who has ignited the existing animosity between the Dogodiya and Gare clans who were brotherly people co-existing side by side for centuries before this man with the virus came to power. I am sure everybody from the zone both from Gare and Dogodiya share this with me and are really concerned. For the other ========= who claim to be representing the people from liban zone i say shame you all, if you do not have power to anything which i am sure it is so, then you have to stand a side and stop claiming to be representing anybody from the zone.
Lastly, I would like to call upon all the elders,elites, religious leaders and all peace loving people from the zone to stand up and stop the bloody conflict between the two clans. I do not think anybody is benefiting from this conflict apart from Mr. ================ who is fueling the war for an forthcoming political greed.
To conclude i would like to say this to the president: Mr. President you carry all the responsibilities and God almighty will ask you all decision you are making while you are in office. Hardly are you giving any attention to what is going on in Liban zone which has been the most peaceful zone in the region before you created your political woredas. I would also like to say to you either choose Mr. ============= (the speaker) or the rest of Liban zone people. I pray to the almighty to make you choose the right decision Ameeen.
